Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. The role involves working the 2nd shift from 12 pm to 9 pm, Thursday through Monday, with weekends required. The weekdays worked can be flexible as long as 40 hours are met, demonstrating the need for flexibility in this position. As a QA/QC Technician, you will ensure that all products meet established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves conducting tests, analyzing results, and reporting findings to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.
ResponsibilitiesConduct routine inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.Monitor and document production processes to ensure adherence to HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.Perform microbiological and chemical testing of products and environmental samples.Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality-related activities.Identify and report any non-conformances or deviations from quality standards, and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.Collaborate with production and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures.Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in food safety and quality assurance.Essential SkillsPreferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role within the food manufacturing industry.Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.Experience with laboratory equipment and conducting microbiological and chemical tests.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
