Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description
As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for processing SPF chicken embryos, cell cultures, and microbial cultures. You will also produce antigens and reagents, and prepare buffers, media, and solutions. This role involves completing internal documentation and performing housekeeping activities, including waste disposal and glassware preparation.
Responsibilities

+ Complete internal documentation.
+ Perform housekeeping activities, including waste disposal and glassware preparation.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in laboratory and cleanroom environments.
+ Proficiency with PPE and aseptic techniques.
+ Skilled in using a fume hood and aseptic hood.
+ Knowledge of sterile techniques, biology, microbiology, cleanroom procedures, pipetting, and autoclave usage.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.).
+ Experience: 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
+ An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment with an 8-hour shift starting at 7:30 am, inclusive of breaks. The role requires regular standing, handling of objects, tools, or controls, and microscope use. Frequent walking and sitting are involved, along with the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The environment can get hot at times.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
