Job Description
We are seeking a Lab Technician who will focus on characterizing and processing silica-based materials.
ResponsibilitiesMeasure physical properties such as surface area, pore volume, and particle size distribution of silica-based materials.Process silica-based materials efficiently and accurately.Ensure that all process and lab equipment is maintained in a safe working condition.Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lab and process area.Essential SkillsQuality control expertise in a laboratory setting.Strong understanding of chemistry and wet chemistry techniques.Knowledge of measuring pH, surface area, and particle size.Ability to follow instructions and written procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates Degree in a Life Science field or equivalent.0+ years of experience with an Associates Degree or 2+ years of direct lab experience without a degree.Good understanding of basic chemistry concepts and laboratory procedures.Capability to conduct experiments with a high level of accuracy.Desire to analyze and interpret experimental results.Work Environment
The role is based in a silica lab, working collaboratively with a team of five additional members.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
