Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. The candidate will handle daily lab tasks, focus on new paint formulas, and coordinate with external labs. The role involves 50% lab work, 30% documentation, and 20% communication.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and non-routine laboratory testing and analyses, with a specific emphasis on paint testing.Prepare and apply paint to various surfaces for testing purposes.Test and record paint performance and coordinate testing with local labs.Prepare, conduct, and report on experiments and investigations related to new consumer product development.Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments in proper working order.Keep documentation of work performed in lab books and daily logs.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Practice safe work habits and comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.Experience in a laboratory setting, including adhesion testing.Ability to report data accurately.Basic laboratory skills such as pipetting, weighing, and dilutions.Strong attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma required; Chemistry degree preferred.Previous laboratory experience, either from college or work.Experience with adhesion testing is a plus.Ability to work on self-directed and team-oriented projects.Good quantitative and math skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Work Environment

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. The work environment includes a lab area with dedicated space, a computer, and a lab conference room.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
