Lab Technician
Job Title: Pilot Equipment OperatorJob Description Join our innovative team as a Pilot Equipment Operator, where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting research and development projects. In this role, you will set up and operate pilot equipment, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in intricate scientific processes from start to finish. Responsibilities + Set up and operate pilot equipment such as evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers. + Operate hoses, pumps, heaters, and centrifuges throughout testing processes. + Record and document outputs from equipment including pressure, temperature, gauge levels, and chemical data. + Perform analytical testing such as titrations, spectroscopy, solids composition, and crystal characterization. + Document all laboratory results and collaborate with team members to develop products per customer applications. + Follow basic laboratory practices while maintaining a safe and clean working lab space. Essential Skills + Basic understanding of laboratory processes and testing. + Experience in any laboratory setting is required. + Knowledge in chemistry, biology, and titration. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with reverse osmosis, crystallization, and inorganic chemistry. + Background in biochemistry is beneficial. + Open to entry-level candidates or those with a high level of experience as chemical operators. Work Environment You will work in a lab environment alongside approximately 15 team members. The position involves a night shift from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with initial training on the first shift. Flexibility is required as shifts may extend up to 12 hours per day, and weekend work may be needed. The role offers the potential for contract-to-hire after 7 months, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
