Job Title: Lead Instrument, Electrical, Control & Telecommunications (IECT) Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead IECT Engineer to oversee instrumentation, electrical, control systems, and telecommunications for our production facilities in Thailand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FEED, detailed design, and operations support, ensuring all electrical and control systems are designed and implemented to the highest industry standards. Knowledge of medium and high-voltage (MV/HV) systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering & Design:
• Lead FEED and detailed engineering design for instrumentation, electrical, control, and telecom systems.
• Ensure compliance with Thai regulatory requirements, international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.), and best practices.
• Develop technical specifications, datasheets, and design documents for electrical and control systems.
• Provide technical leadership in the selection of DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, F&G, and telecommunication systems.
• Oversee cable routing, power distribution, grounding, and hazardous area classifications.
• Evaluate and integrate medium and high-voltage (MV/HV) power systems, ensuring safe and reliable operations.

Project Execution & Coordination:
• Work closely with process, mechanical, civil, and project engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and third-party specialists for procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Review and approve vendor documents, drawings, and calculations related to electrical and control systems.
• Support construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Operational Excellence & Compliance:
• Ensure safe and reliable plant operations through proper system design and risk mitigation.
• Conduct technical assessments, risk analyses, and failure investigations related to electrical and control systems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Lead and support HAZID, HAZOP, SIL assessments, and alarm management.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in FEED, detailed design, and operations support for petrochemical, oil & gas, or energy projects.
• Strong expertise in DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS, F&G, and telecom systems.
• Knowledge of medium and high-voltage (MV/HV) power systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, ISA, etc.) and Thai regulatory requirements.
• Experience with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, functional safety, and hazardous area classifications.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
