Lead Operations Pharmacist
The Lead Operations Pharmacist will be skilled in pharmacy operations and medication-use systems. This pharmacist will assist with advanced responsibilities in areas including technology and automation, medication safety, quality improvement, compliance, medication compounding and preparation, and education related to all aspects of pharmacy operations. The Lead Operations Pharmacist will report to the Pharmacy Operations Manager to provide safe, timely, efficient, equitable, effective, and patient-centered medication use.

Education:

Pharm D from an accredited college or university or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy school, college or university

Licensures/Certifications:

Current state licensure as a Pharmacist or eligible to obtain license 60 days after hired

Experience:

3 years progressive, related inpatient hospital experience; advanced PGY-1 training preferred but not required or advanced PGY-1 training including supervisory duties.

Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of drug nomenclature, including generic-trade names, different types of packaging and units of issue.
• Skill in inventory optimization and management.
o Omnicell experience preferred but not required.
• Skill in using a computer and a variety of personal productivity applications.
• Skill in data analysis and interpretation.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in managing teams and evaluating performance.
• Ability to use critical thinking skills to resolve issues.
• Ability to set priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to support routine surveillance, investigation, and compliance matters within the pharmacy department.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Delivers all medications on a scheduled and unscheduled basis to the patient care units. Complies with all controlled substance delivery paperwork requirements
• Loads, unloads, and returns medications to the Boxpicker to maintain inventory levels.
• Maintains work area and Pharmacy shelves in clean and neat condition.
• Performs daily maintenance on Pillpicker
• Reviews Pharmacy inventory on a periodic basis for expired medication and removes medications from stock.
• Delivers medications hourly to patient care units, including cartfill
• Triages telephone calls and window requests
• Reads e-mail daily on scheduled work days.
• Enthusiastically accepts challenges and assignments
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range

$99,878.80 - $179,781.85

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
