We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lean Portfolio Management Process Lead to join our Tech Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing the implementation of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) practices across the organization. You will partner with senior leaders, enterprise architects, product managers, and agile release trains (ARTs) to guide the alignment of strategic objectives with execution, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the portfolio management process is efficient, agile, and value-driven. Lead Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) Practices
Implement and continuously improve Lean Portfolio Management methodologies within the organization.Establish and maintain governance processes that ensure effective prioritization, funding, and delivery of strategic initiatives.Align the portfolio of programs and projects with organizational strategy and customer value.Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
Drive the ongoing evaluation and refinement of portfolio management processes to ensure they are lean, agile, and responsive to changing business needs.Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and waste reduction within portfolio management and related areas.Monitor, measure, and evolve lean metrics (e.g., flow efficiency, lead time, WIP, and portfolio-level OKRs).Facilitate value stream mapping, portfolio reviews, and improvement workshops.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with senior leadership, program managers, product owners, and key stakeholders to ensure portfolio initiatives align with business goals.Act as a champion for Agile and Lean principles, advocating for value-driven decision-making.Lead discussions and workshops on portfolio strategy, prioritization, and alignment.Metrics and Reporting
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for portfolio performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.Provide regular portfolio health reports to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.Training and Coaching
Coach teams and stakeholders on Lean Portfolio Management principles, practices and events such as Portfolio Syncs, Strategic Portfolio Reviews, and participatory budgeting sessions.Lead training sessions to increase organizational maturity in Agile, Lean, and portfolio management practices.Risk and Dependency Management
Identify, monitor, and manage risks and dependencies across the portfolio to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.Proactively address and mitigate portfolio-level bottlenecks or challenges that could impact business objectives.What we look for:
7+ years of experience in portfolio management, project management, or program management, with a focus on Agile and Lean methodologies.Proven experience leading Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) processes in large, complex organizations (This is REQUIRED)Familiarity with portfolio management tools (e.g., Jira Align) is highly desirable.Lean Portfolio Management certification (e.g., SAFe® LPM or similar) preferred.Agile and Lean certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe® Agilist) are a plus.Deep understanding of Agile, Lean, and SAFe frameworks.Proven experience leading and facilitating cross-functional process initiatives in large, complex organizations.Experience with change management and driving organizational transformation.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the portfolio.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, related field (Master’s degree preferred) or related experience.#LI-HYBRID

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
