Role description:

Provide senior legal operations support to the global Legal, Compliance & Privacy (“LCP”) team of Arcadis. You will serve as a strategic partner to the Global General Counsel and the broader LCP team, driving operational excellence, efficiency, innovation, and global collaboration. You will be focused on overseeing the development and implementation of processes, tools, and technologies to optimize the delivery of legal services globally, while ensuring alignment with Arcadis’ business goals and core values. 

Reports to the Global General Counsel.

Direct Reports of 2 Legal Engineers.

Role accountabilities:

Senior adviser for operational excellence

Develop and implement a comprehensive legal operations strategy aligned with the broader Arcadis business goals and organizational objectives, as well as the LCP three-year strategy. Partner with the LCP team to identify and address key operational challenges, ensuring continuous improvement and scalability of processes. Lead the design and execution of initiatives to identify, implement, and manage technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Monitor legal tech trends and innovations, recommending tools that align with Arcadis’ needs

Global leadership and collaboration

Lead the legal operations team Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Privacy, and Compliance, to ensure alignment and integration of legal operations with business-wide initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate should have an advanced degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, 8+ years of relevant experience in legal operations or solutions, and a proven track record of driving operational improvements in a global organization. 

Further, the candidate should have: 

Strong understanding of legal technology solutions, including contract lifecycle management and matter management systems underpinned by artificial intelligence, and be up to date on the latest product offerings in the market.  Strong understanding of data analysis and (financial) reporting tools. Client-focused attitude; proactive, pragmatic, and focused on problem-solving. Strong communication skills, especially in English and at the executive level; an ability to convey complex (technical) issues succinctly and clearly to (non-technical) stakeholders.  Global mindset; ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional, international environment with a focus on delivering results Project management and execution skills; demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex tasks, deliver quality and to deadlines; manage priorities
