Overall Purpose of the Role
This role contributes to the development and execution of the EMEA regional long-term and fiscal year category strategy, with the objective of maximising sales of licensed products in alignment with individual market goals. The scope spans all consumer demographics and covers the full Disney, Marvel, and Lucasfilm franchise portfolios, requiring deep expertise across a wide range of consumer product categories.
Overview of Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement forward-thinking, data-driven strategies that scale revenue, reach, and brand influence. Leverage key trends, commercial performance, and consumer insights to identify and activate new business opportunities, while maximizing existing ones.
Demonstrate leadership, vision, and commercial acumen to craft actionable plans at a sub-category level. The role requires agility to capitalise on emerging opportunities and market dynamics, while also targeting and securing strategic partners.
Provide strategic oversight and expertise in product development, spanning design, sourcing, and supply. A strong appreciation for integrated marketing (digital, social, and retail) is essential to ensure a cohesive consumer experience across touchpoints.
Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships across internal teams and external partners. Lead senior-level engagement and joint business planning with new and existing EMEA/Global accounts to negotiate contracts and drive sustained growth in licensing sales.
Act as a key liaison between Global/EMEA strategies and local market needs, ensuring alignment while empowering local teams with strategic support that complements their specific goals.

Areas of ResponsibilityResponsible for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and quarterly forecasting process, developing category objectives and strategies to drive growth, working with key stakeholders - markets, consumer demo groups, category, franchise, marketing, product development, finance and legal.
Active participation and contribution to the regional management team, adding value to the long term strategic planning of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) business as market leaders in both licensing and category.
Lead contract negotiation and manage relationships with global and European licensees and distributors to maximise TWDC royalty revenue across regions
Identify new partners to continually strengthen the licensee base and grow revenues aligned to corporate strategic plan
Collaborate with TWDC market teams providing information and regular updates as well as understanding and satisfying local market needs and differences
Lead business development, research projects, category meetings and licensee meetings
Work closely with the global and EMEA category, creative and product development, briefing strategy, range planning, brainstorms and development timelines to ensure EMEA needs are met
Experience and Professional Qualifications RequiredRelevant sales or similar consumer targeted experience; experience in buying is preferred
Significant experience working within the fashion retail/branded business
Team leadership and management experience
Skills RequiredStrong financial acumen
Ability to analyse data and construct practical conclusions and recommendations
Excellent communicator and a proven ability to deliver strong commercial presentations
Strong written and spoken English for business use, essential; other European languages are beneficial
Understanding of European markets
