Job Description
As a Life Cycle Material Management Specialist for aero structures, you will be a focal point for all aero structures-related matters on the CH146, supporting the in-service support of the fleet for the Canadian Forces.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal and external agencies to support project and LCMM activities.Analyze technical issues and provide recommendations for solutions.Prepare correspondence and records using computers and Microsoft Office programs.Participate in site visits to address technical, testing, or operational concerns.Create and deliver technical presentations.Attend and contribute to the planning and organization of meetings and technical reviews.Monitor and document the progress of assigned projects.Track the location and status of aircraft system assets and spares, and assess sparing and procurement needs.Initiate and coordinate equipment updates and reviews, exploring alternative/replacement equipment and systems.Coordinate repairs, modifications, and overhaul programs with contractors.Review, investigate, and address various technical matters as needed.Draft modification instructions and create, revise, and maintain technical orders.Support the Equipment Management Team and test agency staff in systems testing.Provide technical expertise to CH146 EMT and DAR staff for equipment selection and development.Evaluate technical proposals for equipment upgrades and new requirements.Perform other project/life cycle management services as defined by the supervisor.Assist other LCMMs and act as a backup when needed.Essential Skills4+ years' experience in life cycle material management.Knowledge of helicoptersGrasp of airworthiness regulations.Must qualify for NATO Secret clearance.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a technical capacity with the Department of National Defence and/or Canadian Forces.Strong organizational skills.Work Environment
This position is a 40-hour week at the office located in Gatineau, QC, Canada, with a schedule alternating between 2 and 3 days on-site. A laptop will be provided
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
