Under general supervision and guidance of the Technical Excellence Center (TEC) Infrastructure and Construction Support Director, the **LIMS & Materials Accreditations Technical Lead** - is responsible for managing and supporting the Atlas Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across a nationwide laboratory network. Another major duty is the coordinating and management of Atlas construction materials and environmental laboratory accreditation efforts. This position can be 100% remote.
**Primary Responsibilities Include:**
+ The LIMS & Materials Accreditations Technical Lead – Provided nationwide technical support to construction materials laboratory and field-testing services and staff.
+ This position also manages Atlas laboratory accreditation and ensures that they are in compliance with national and local standards and requirements. This includes, but is not limited to: Aggregate, Soil, Asphalt Mixtures, Asphalt Binder, Seal Coats, Soil-Cements, Geotechnical Testing, Concrete, Masonry, Grout, and Iron and Steel testing procedures.
+ Laboratory audit support.
+ This position also is responsible for business development and coordination within the infrastructure market, construction materials testing (CMT) practice.
+ This position may also serve as a program or Project Manager on select CMT assignments.
**Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Assist with development of technical training programs, Standard Operating Procedures SOPs, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and materials for Atlas labs and CMT groups.
+ Participate in construction materials testing practice coordination meetings and provide reporting and other inputs.
+ Develop lab and CMT budgets, initiatives, strategy, training, technology and innovation.
+ Track and report key performance metrics.
+ Identify staffing needs and support recruiting efforts.
+ Manage overall quality performance for Atlas labs within CMT for compliance with TEC Standard Operating Procedures and Atlas quality procedures.
+ Support marketing and business development activities such as fee, scope and schedule development, client interactions, attendance at meetings, events and conferences and participation in coordination meetings.
+ Abide by Atlas-s health and safety policies and procedures.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.
**Minimum requirements:**
+ Bachelor of Science degree in related Science or Engineering practice. On-the-job experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Professional licensing and certifications in construction materials testing, such as ACI, NICET, or similar.
+ 7 or more years of progressively responsible technical experience, management, and leadership of deliverables and/or projects in the Materials Practice.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels of Atlas.
+ Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven with the ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.
+ Ability to communicate and lead organizational change, as well as ability to break down barriers/silos.
+ Knowledge of quality management systems, including AASHTO R 18 and ISO/IEC 17025.
+ Capable of presenting technical and non-technical subject matter to large groups of people in person and online.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint).
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Teams (Channels, SharePoint).
+ Travel is required and is expected to be approximately 15% - 20% of the time worked.
**Compensation:**
$120,000 - $180,000 hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
