The Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join an established National Litigation Team. This position provides a wide range of administrative and clerical support to a legal team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and committed to helping us meet our clients' needs.
A Day in the LifeYour day involves keeping the litigation team organized and efficient. You'll manage electronic and paper files in NetDocs, draft and proofread legal documents, and electronically file with state and federal courts, also downloading court documents. You'll analyze filings and manage deadlines using VisionSQL. Expect to handle mail and calls professionally, schedule meetings in Outlook/Teams, and assist with client billing and time entries. You'll also manage attorney calendars and travel, process expenses, and handle conflict checks and client matter setup.
We Know YouThe ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of experience providing administrative support within product liability and commercial litigation, including experience with both federal and state court procedures. They will demonstrate strong analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills, coupled with familiarity with legal billing guidelines and the process of sending client invoices. This individual will be proactive, resourceful, and self-directed, exhibiting strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. A strong work ethic and the proven ability to thrive under time-sensitive deadlines are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including impeccable spelling and grammar, are a must.
