Job Description
Join our client's dynamic Inbound Transportation team as a Logistics Specialist. You will manage scheduled pickups, re-route hauls, and resolve logistical issues while performing data analysis and interacting with a variety of vendors. This role involves working with 18-wheelers carrying freight and requires strong problem-solving skills to ensure shipments are picked up efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing approximately 50 different vendors, using Excel to track vendor activity, and addressing any issues that may arise.
ResponsibilitiesManage scheduled pickups and re-route hauls as necessary.Resolve logistical issues to ensure efficient shipment pickups.Conduct data analysis to track and improve vendor activities.Interact with and support approximately 50 different vendors.Participate in morning meetings to review plans and recap prior day activities.Utilize Excel for tracking and analyzing vendor performance.Problem-solve shipment challenges and resolve issues with vendors.Skills & QualificationsAt least one year of professional work experience in logistics or transportation.Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5 pm. You will work on-site in Tempe on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. The role will transition to fully on-site sometime in 2025.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
