Machine Operator - Floater
Summary

A Machine Operator (Floater) is an individual who is responsible for learning to operate and maintain multiple machines in either the Single Serve or Multi Serve departments including but not limited to Loader/Unloader, Depalletizer, Sleever, Case Packer, and Filler to support fluctuating production demands.  

 

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:15pm-1:45am + OT

Responsibilities

Operation and cleaning of all relevant machinery according to standardized operating procedures (SOPs).  

Performing laboratory tests and monitoring weight control of products.  

Responsible for seam scope compliance checks.   

Communicate on current and upcoming production status so downstream operators can effectively maintain production output levels.  

Troubleshooting minor issues on machinery and escalates as needed to minimize downtime. 

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or training.  

Must have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities. Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Pallet Jack Certification   

Must be able to work in a wet environment. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.  

Effective verbal and written communication skills.  

Must be able to abide by all required Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Compensation Range: $23.25 - $29.75, plus bonus.
