Maintenance Clerk

Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working in conjunction with the Maintenance and Production teams. Duties entail compiling and maintain information and records to prepare purchase orders. May perform other related clerical tasks. Apply basic skill and procedures appropriate for the position within assigned functional areas. Duties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems. Works under direct supervisor of the Maintenance Manager, works in conjunction with and support to the Maintenance Coordinator and follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Has contact with specific vendors/suppliers as per Maintenance Manager. This position is subject to changes as per business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
* Edits purchase requests and prepare purchase orders
* Consults catalogues and other references to obtain prices and specifications
* Maintains files and records of materials, prices, inventories, and deliveries.
* Performs related to clerical duties
* Manage storerooms and parts inventories
* Working within JD Edwards, will produce work orders for the maintenance of the corrugated and converting machines and create a tracking system for the assignment and completion of the work orders
* Manages open P/O\u2019s and no GR list
* Manages the ordering, receiving, and locations of all incoming parts
* Manages and maintains the maintenance budget
* Contact vendors and suppliers for quotations and follow up on outstanding purchase orders
* Coordinates plant/maintenance department materials purchasing applications to effectively plan all maintenance work projects with Maintenance Coordinator
* Monitors with the guidance of the Maintenance Manager in managing the maintenance departments\u2019 operating budget to ensure compliance with outlined budgetary goals.
* Maintain spare part inventory to a min/max level as well as the organization of all parts storage areas.
* Shows flexibility in adjusting to operations and business demands.
* Other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed:
* High School diploma Associates or Bachelor\u2019s degree in related field
* Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing industry
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Strong computer skills including JDE, Excel, Microsoft
* Demonstrated ability to adapt and take action in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
