Job Description

Position Summary
The Maintenance Engineering Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities in their charge operate at peak efficiency. They resolve issues that arise in order to keep both building maintenance activities running smoothly or take care of any repairs needed on-site. The position will oversee the management of individuals, projects, timelines and daily operations. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

The budgeted pay range for this position is $31.00 to $37.20 per hour, actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
•    Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, OSHA standards, and other regulatory requirements
•    Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions as needed
•    Develop, implement, and oversee preventative and predictive maintenance programs
•    Monitor equipment performance and analyze trends to identify potential issues and recommend improvement
•    Lead, train, and mentor team of maintenance engineers and technicians to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols
•    Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in systems and equipment
•    Coordinate and perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and
•    other critical systems
•    Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations
•    Responsible for all administrative duties; this includes but is not limited payroll and scheduling
•    Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in the maintenance management system
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements
•    A degree, diploma or 3-5 years related working experience is preferred
•    General office, timekeeping, administrative, budget experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
•    Carpentry, general maintenance, troubleshooting and building systems experience required
•    Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations
•    Must have valid driver’s license
•    Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with constant changes
•    Ability to communicate with multiple heads of departments and vendor leads
•    Great attention to detail with trust in handling confidential information and correspondence
•    Strong leadership and motivational skills required
•    Ability to manage and lead a team
•    Must be available to work non-traditional hours; weekends and nights as necessary should an emergency arise
•    Ability to work independently with little instruction or supervision
•    Able to guide and be team player

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands
•    Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time
•    Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
•    Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
