Job Description PLANT DESCRIPTION Our newly commissioned plant(2022) features side-by-side assembly lines for 2 unique commercial roofing products(TPO and ISO). Both these products are manufactured with state-of-the-art equipment in a clean, safe, bright facility. Great Team Environment with growth potential for the right person. PLANT LOCATION IKO Northeast, 160 IKO Way, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740 We are conveniently located at Exit 6 off Route 81 at the Western Maryland Parkway. WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? + Competitive base salary $125,000-$130,000. + Competitive health, dental and insurance plans + Paid Maryland Sick Leave Benefits + Competitive matched retirement savings program + The opportunity to join a continuously growing organization + The opportunity to work with an industry leader in manufacturing The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum productivity, quality, and safety while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the Company. WHEN YOU JOIN US YOU WILL BE; + Facilitating the Maintenance Department safety processes to achieve plant safety goals, including Zero Injuries. + Participating as a member of Plant Leadership Team. + Supervising plant maintenance organization including a Maintenance Supervisor, Planner/Scheduler, and Inventory/Parts Coordinator. + Managing the plant maintenance program based on best practices, emphasizing effective planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance. + Planning, coordinating and prioritizing maintenance requirements in conjunction with operations departments to obtain minimum cost and high reliability. + Ensuring maintenance mechanics are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that maintenance procedures are accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. + Communicating regularly with all maintenance team, both individually and as a group, to ensure two-way information flow. + Conducting employee performance feedback based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance team. + Maintaining and updating operating and training manuals for the maintenance department and supports mechanic skill development. + Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment. Relying on Supervisors and Planners for day-to-day operations. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE; + Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or substantial equivalent experience + Minimum 5+ progressive years in operations as a Maintenance Supervisor + Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred + Lean Manufacturing experience required + Strong knowledge of CMMS programs such as Maximo + Analytical, data-driven problem solving and action planning skills + Proven track record in continuous improvement + Financial acumen to optimize plant overall plant performance metrics at minimum cost + Leadership skills to bring together diverse groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds + Analytical, data-driven problem solving and action planning skills + Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to make independent and sound decisions + Strong interpersonal skills to influence and drive results through others. Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.
