Position Summary and Purpose: Responsible for leading the maintenance team in all their daily activities. The Supervisor will provide key front-line leadership to a team of skilled mechanical and electrical repair personal that directly support the manufacturing team. The successful candidate will offer technical support and guidance to the teams in order to meet company goals and priorities. The successful candidate will also be a strong partner to the operations team and be able to operate in a matrixed environment. Continuous improvement through the implementation of Operational Excellence is a requirement to enable CI to be a competitive provider of machine tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL:
+ Ensure positive employee relations; provide employee coaching for career development; make employment decisions; resolve employee issues through the use of the appropriate leadership skills.
+ Balance Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Morale to achieve positive results, and work to continuously improve in all areas
+ Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls
+ Ensure the development and training of staff that meets defined performance standards
+ Maintain compliance to company safety policies and procedures
+ Lead the maintenance personnel in daily operations and provide technical leadership
+ Manage maintenance engineering projects, rebuilds, retrofits, new installations and other facility and capital projects
+ Drive implementation and sustainment of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives
+ Standardize maintenance programs, procedures and processes across the facility for all assets using our Computerized Maintenance Management Software
+ Reduce machine downtime by improving reliability and maintainability of equipment
Education and Experience:
REQUIRED:
+ Associate Degree in a technical discipline and 5 years of experience in a maintenance environment; or a
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline and 3 years in a maintenance environment
VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
+ Certification or Experience in implementing Lean Practices
+ Machining experience or extensive relevant industry experience
+ Electrical, Mechanical and Controls experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc.
