Job Summary
PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION: The purpose of a Maintenance Technician is to maintain a hygienic, safe, and well-kept facility for the residents and co-workers. DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY: You have the authority to perform any assigned task and report all unsafe conditions to the Director of Environmental Services. JOB FUNCTIONS: Every job has been made to make your job description as complete as possible. However, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties you will be required to perform. Arranges furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for special events Assists with skilled maintenance workers, tradesmen and/or assigned supervisor for the purpose of completing projects Completes projects and work orders in a safe, efficient manner Maintains Facility buildings and grounds areas as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of providing an effective working and living environment Performs a wide variety of general maintenance activities Prepares written materials for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information Repairs furniture and building system components for the purpose of ensuring a safe working condition Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials at the job sit Coordinates and assists with departmental and resident moves Performs basic plumbing and electrical work, if necessary Hangs pictures and shelving, as needed Efficiently dismantles and installs furniture Transports goods or equipment as assigned Performs immediate cleaning duties necessary to maintain clean facility Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager #LI-OnSite
Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • High School diploma or GED • On the job training or apprenticeship preferred • Valid MA driver’s license EXPERIENCE • Prior experience in HVAC, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and facilities maintenance preferred
