Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Welder/Fabricator/Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a qualified individual with expertise in welding, fabrication, and maintenance to join our facility. This position is temp-to-hire, and we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and capable of planning their work effectively. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background, able to repair equipment and perform regular preventive maintenance when welding projects are not available. **Responsibilities** + Perform welding and fabrication tasks using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW techniques in all four positions. + Conduct equipment repairs and regular preventive maintenance. + Plan and organize work independently, ensuring efficient use of time. + Operate machinery and perform general labor tasks. + Measure materials accurately using a tape measure. + Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. + Participate in confined space work, with training available. + Ensure compliance with safety standards by wearing required steel-toed work boots. **Essential Skills** + WABO certifications in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW (all four positions). + Mechanical background for equipment repair and maintenance. + Ability to work in confined spaces. + Capability to be fitted for a respirator/mask. + Successful completion of a 10-panel pre-employment drug screen. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong attendance record. + Experience in manufacturing environments. + Effective troubleshooting skills. **Why Work Here?** Our facility offers great benefits, including a 401k plan. Employees are required to wear steel-toed work boots that cover the ankle. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
