Maintenance Technician III

Our client is seeking Maintenance Technician III to work within their facilities located in Brawley, California on an initial 12-month assignment (with the possibility of extension / becoming permanent).
Key Accountabilities
• Compliant with all safety, health, and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Perform safety, quality, and environmental inspections, as assigned.
• Perform all work in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform regular housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete regular inspections, lubrication, and servicing of machinery.
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining centrifugal and mag drive pumps.
• Recommend and implement refurbishment or replacement of equipment.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems. Participate in commissioning equipment.
• Document maintenance work, parts used, and repair procedures.
• Participate in special information or problem-solving teams as requested.
• Cooperate with other employees in a team atmosphere to solve plant problems and achieve plant goals.
Skills & Qualifications
• Ability to analyze mechanical and/or electrical problems, suggest solutions, and implement repairs.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles.
• Minimum 5 years plant maintenance experience preferred, with a responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors & the public
• Ability to read, write and understand English. Bilingual Preferred.
• This role regularly involves manual labor.
• Must be able to lift and handle bags of materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have dexterity to perform routine work, such as operation of hand and power tools, disassemble and assemble equipment, operate mobile equipment, etc.
• Must be able to distinguish colors associated with electric wiring and related systems. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
Education: High School diploma or GED. Plant or Maintenance Technology Certificate preferred.
