Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing Fleet Engineering Programs in one of four code and licensing areas to provide timely and cost-effective engineering services and technical support for the Vistra Nuclear Fleet. This role ensures that station design bases and associated licensing bases are maintained at each of our four Nuclear sites. The Mgr., Engineering Programs represents the company in correspondence with regulators, contractors, and industry groups to achieve nuclear production objectives.This position’s reporting location is at Davis-Besse. There is one Mgr, Engineering Programs at each site in the Vistra Nuclear Fleet with direct reports located across the Fleet.

Key Accountabilities:
Maintains design and licensing basis across the Vistra Nuclear Fleet for Engineering Programs in the area of responsibilityProvides input to master contracts for Engineering Programs implementationSupports refuel outages through coordination of scoping of Engineering Program requirementsSupports refuel outages through oversight of Engineering Programs activitiesCoordinates engineering programs input to design changesLeads engineering initiatives and efforts to establish common processSupports the Corrective Action ProgramSupports the Engineering Human Performance programFacilitates staffing activitiesDirects the activities of individual contributors within the groupCoordinates and plans large work-scope projects and task teamsPrioritizes and approves group activities and work productsAllocates personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet department/site goalsProvides timely resolution to technical problems to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operationProvides engineering recommendations and priorities important to plant operationsControls costs within approved budget limitsEnsures involvement in industry working groupsInterfaces with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operationEducation, Experience & Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Tech or related Bachelor's/Technical DegreeIndustry Programs SME experience or SRO Certification/License desiredTechnical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs and proceduresKnowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations; budgeting, planning and schedulingFamiliarity with Vistra policies and proceduresKey Metrics:
