Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
The Manager Finance, TV Networks will report to the VP Finance, TV Networks and support certain financial functions across MSNBC, CNBC, Golf Channel, USA, E!, SYFY, and Oxygen. The Manager role requires strong attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy as it supports a crucial revenue stream for the networks.
Responsibilities
+ Support the Content Distribution team in forecasting and reporting of subscriber revenue.
+ Maintain complex revenue model to provide revenue forecasts, including budgets, long range plans, and pacings, in coordination with the Distribution and Decision Sciences teams.
+ Provide insights on risks and opportunities for subscriber revenue.
+ Maintain headcount and C&B budget across the TV Networks business, partnering closely with finance, HR, and operational leaders.
+ Coordinate free cash flow planning and analysis in partnership with the Corporate FP&A team.
+ Assist the News, Sports, and Entertainment finance teams on system implementations – coordinate with corporate teams to understand deliverables, timelines, and process implications.
+ Work with VP TV Networks and CFO to find and implement efficiency opportunities.
+ Other ad hoc projects and requests as assigned by the VP and CFO.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and a minimum of five years experience in progressive Operational Finance or Financial Planning and Analysis roles
+ Solid financial modeling skills
+ Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and complex information, and present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
+ Preferred: previous experience in a media company, streaming service, or direct-to-consumer business.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
