Learn more about Splunk careers and how you can become a part of our journey!We are looking for a Sales leader who has experience in influencing & growing enterprise software sales and developing top sales performers within the Public Sector Vertical, specifically within the SLED, Mid Market space. You will be responsible for a sales teams consisting of over 6 Regional Sales Managers. You will partner with multiple departments within Splunk.Role:Manage a team of RSM's and work closely with other sales management to drive alignment across the organizationConsistently deliver on daring license revenue targets – dedication to the number and to deadlinesHands on with the team; very involved with sales calls & territory/opportunity managementSupport public sector sales growth by implementing critical initiatives and promoting a high energy, high activity environmentDevelop quarterly and monthly plans to leverage in house resources, as well as partner resources; drive the execution of those plansHire, train, and retain an outstanding sales organizationYou are a good corporate citizen – two way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resourcesRequirements:2+ years’ management experience leading and running a sales teams passionate about selling sophisticated software/SaaS within PBST5+ years’ experience selling enterprise software & solutions to public sector (ideally SLED)Outstanding management, interpersonal, written and presentation skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth, constantly evolving environmentForecasting commitments, forecasting accuracy, and running your teams with SFDC subject areaGrowth mentality, you are forward leaning and innovative and passionate about continuous improvementBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience will be consideredApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (and already located in USA)Location: Ideally Washington DC or East CoastSplunk is an Equal Opportunity EmployerSplunk, a Cisco company, is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, genetic information, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected basis.

Note:

OTE Pay Ranges

For sales roles the ranges are expressed as On Target Earning or OTE (OTE = base + incentives in the form of sales incentive plans).

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

On Target Earnings: $184,000.00 - 253,000.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), New York (excludes NYC Metro Area), and all other states.

On Target Earnings: $160,000.00 - 220,000.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the OTE pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to OTE, this role may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
