Manager Medical Staff Services & Credentialing
Description Location: UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital, Fort Collins, CO Department: Medical Staff Credentials FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $32.49 - $51.99 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Requirements: + Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in related field. + Required Licensure/Certification: Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) within 4 years of hire. Preferred: Dual certification. + Minimum Experience: 5 years of experience in a health care setting working directly with physicians. 3 years of experience supervising employees. This position reports to Director Medical Staff Services & Credentialing. Responsibilities: + Oversee and manage all aspects of the medical staff credentialing and privileging process. + Lead and supervise the medical staff services team. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to credentialing specialists and other support staff, fostering a productive and efficient environment while ensuring adherence to best practices in credentialing and provider enrollment. + Serve as a key liaison and resource for medical staff leadership and hospital administration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between the medical staff, department chairs, and hospital leadership on matters related to physician credentialing, professional practice evaluation, and compliance. + Develop, implement, and maintain medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations. + Supports special projects and business analysis, as requested.
