Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer Specialist will provide engineering support to all manufacturing processes and equipment. This support includes part and machine design, maintenance, tooling, and troubleshooting of equipment and processes. The role also involves coordinating the delivery, installation, and ramp-up of new equipment when required, while supporting improvements, optimizing processes, and applying lean manufacturing concepts.
ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support to manufacturing processes and equipment.Design parts and machines, perform maintenance, and create tooling.Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.Coordinate the delivery, installation, and ramp-up of new equipment.Support process improvements and optimize manufacturing processes.Apply lean manufacturing concepts to enhance efficiency.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Engineering.1+ year of engineering experience in manufacturing or quality.Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks (3D is highly valued).Experience in machining, PLC logic, and automation (at least 1-2 of these skills required).Understanding of PFMEA, statistical probability, and root cause analysis.Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in an engineering role.Familiarity with robotics.Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments.Additional Skills & QualificationsAdvanced knowledge of automatic transmission function.Specific experience within an automatic transmission manufacturer.Experience achieving measurable and sustainable results in a lean manufacturing environment.Experience solving complex issues using continuous process improvement tools and facilitating events.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $83000.00/yr.
