Job Description
You will be directly responsible for building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. You will utilize innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to solve difficult manufacturing and engineering problems on a daily basis at both a systems and specialized level. You will be the first line of support for all technical challenges faced by the production team, using your expertise to rapidly respond to and solve product issues that slow down factory throughput. You will convert first-line troubleshooting into structural improvement projects to improve recovery time and eliminate disturbances through collaboration with other technical functions.
ResponsibilitiesSupport operations teams by being the first technical point of contact for production disturbances, unblocking production issues, and finding structural solutions to prevent their recurrence.Process defective material for engineering evaluation to determine the path forward.Modify shop orders to enable continuous production execution.Develop and improve troubleshooting documentation for production test hardware.Essential SkillsFamiliarity with Low Rate Manufacturing Environments and New Product Introduction.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices and principles.Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, and DMAIC.Strong analytical skills.Strong communication and writing skills.Experience with Electrical System Design and Metrology.Experience with Mechanical Design and Failure Analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP or similar ERP software.Experience with NX Unigraphics or similar CAD software.Experience with Aerospace or Optical Manufacturing.Experience with Python Programming Language.Experience with Fiber Optic Systems.Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $78.02/hr.
