**Job Description:** **Manufacturing Engineer** **Position Summary** The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for evaluating product, customer, and process requirements to plan, design, or modify new or existing manufacturing equipment. In addition, this role will establish operating equipment specifications, improve manufacturing techniques and production yields, and introduce new process equipment to improve production quality, capacity, and efficiency. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** + Assist in planning and designing manufacturing processes and equipment in an industrial plant. + Collect, analyze, and evaluate manufacturing data to drive continuous process improvements. + Respond to manufacturing issues and concerns to ensure product specifications are met, including troubleshooting and rectification of any existing errors or defects. + Support root cause investigations for the manufacturing area and ensure completion of corrective actions. + Create process documentation and may conduct operator training. + Create and maintain company documentation, such as process travelers, manufacturing work instructions, and machine setup documents. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing engineering technology + 0 – 3 years’ experience **Competency** + Experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, & PowerPoint + Proficiency with 3D CAD software including drawing creation (Autodesk Inventor preferred) + Knowledge and experience with software programming preferred (MATLAB, C++, Python) + Must be well organized with the ability to multi-task + Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment **Skills** + Strong problem-solving / analytical skills, as well as strategic thinking skills + Needs an understanding of how to prioritize workloads and daily duties + Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with peers and employees across all levels of the organization + High energy, self-motivated / self-reliant, team player + Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail + Ability to think logically and methodically + Good interpersonal and organizational skills + Excellent verbal and written communication skills
