Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a focus on materials and processes to join our team. This role involves working with cutting-edge aerospace materials and developing innovative manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for supporting the development of additive manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive new product development.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the development of additive manufacturing processes by researching and developing new methods for automation and system control.Engage with technology development in areas such as non-destructive testing, heat treatment, machining, and cell operations to enhance AM processes.Research and improve robotic, laser welding, and sensor equipment for efficient material deposition.Develop and implement data acquisition systems to monitor key parameters during metal deposition.Support the qualification of AM materials and components for aerospace applications with both internal and external customers.Participate in Technology Readiness Assessments to mature technology into production.Ensure compliance of technical solutions and documentation with customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements.Identify technical problems and apply solutions while managing risks for assigned work.Support technical and customer reviews through the preparation of technical data and presentations.Perform activities with limited supervision and assist other engineers through peer reviews.Essential SkillsPhD in Metallurgy, Engineering, or a related technical field.7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of advanced degrees and experience.Experience with CAD and other engineering software.Experience with additively manufactured metallic materials, including titanium alloys.Ability to work under ITAR regulations and program requirements.US Citizenship is required.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the aerospace industry, particularly with NDE of metallic materials.Proven ability to review technical documentation and analyze customer requirements.Experience in creating and maintaining databases.Statistical and data analysis capabilities.Excellent cooperation, networking, and team-working skills.Experience working in cross-functional teams.Work Environment

This role is based onsite at an additive manufacturing facility in Fort Worth. The position offers yearly merit increases and potential bonuses. Work will be performed in a collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and technological advancement in manufacturing processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $67.30 - $74.51/hr.
