Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Process  Engineer
Location: Lancaster, PA

Manufacturing Process Engineer Overview
Responsible for designing assemblies, developing and improving manufacturing processes, and supporting cross-functional teams to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality. Collaborates with Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality to deliver cost-effective solutions that meet customer and production requirements.
 
Manufacturing Process  Engineer Responsibilities

Engineering & Configuration Management

Review and approve drawings, materials, and manufacturing methods.

Collaborate on work instructions, BOMs, routings, and pFMEAs.

Process Development & Technology Integration

Recommend and qualify new technologies and equipment.

Create supporting documentation (pFMEAs, work instructions) and manage installations.

Continuous Improvement & Automation

Identify and implement efficiency improvements in equipment and processes.

Design and manage custom tools, fixtures, and automation solutions using SolidWorks.

Oversee fabrication, procurement, and implementation of new devices.

Assembly & Prototype Engineering

Lead projects from quote to delivery.

Design and build assemblies, tooling, and packaging.

Perform magnetic measurements and ensure compliance with customer specs.

Production Support

Provide CAD drawings and tooling to support production.

Ensure equipment reliability and compliance with customer requirements.

Customer & Sales Support

Collaborate with Sales on cost estimates and manufacturability assessments.

Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve technical issues.

Support R&D and provide data-driven design recommendations.

Manufacturing Process Engineer Requirements Bachelors Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, 3 years of work experience in the manufacturing field in principles of mechanical engineering and industrial machining equipment. Computer-aided design (CAD) experience Experience working with automation or mechatronics technologies, systems integration, digital control systems, data acquisition and processing #M1
