Marketing Communications Specialist, Staff
**Company:** Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. **Job Area:** Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group > Marketing Communications **General Summary:** We are seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join our product marketing team as a Marketing Communications Specialist, Staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, managing and executing product marketing plans for the Snapdragon XR business unit. These activities include, but are not limited to: platform messaging, event planning and execution, keynote presentation support, creative asset development, quarterly newsletters, budget tracking and interacting with developers, customers/OEM partners and third party vendors. Many of the product marketing outputs will be utilized by Snapdragon XR executives at leading trade shows and events, where this person will represent some of the technologies and products.. This role requires a collaborative approach working closely with engineering, business development, product management, PR, digital, brand, sales, legal and third-party partners and the ability to adapt to shifting timelines, conflicting priorities, and a mix of complex technologies and products autonomously and proactively, The individual will be expected to collaborate with a cross functional team and work with product management to understand business priorities, support the articulation of product marketing strategy, help develop marketing tactics, and support the creation of assets such as XR messaging, content, webpage copy, go-to-market plans, tactics, leading to an integrated planning and seamless execution. The individual will also be expected to understand and explain technical concepts in the areas of immersive technology such as Virtual, Mixed and Augmented Reality and enabling technologies such as AI, connectivity, semiconductors, and more, to both technical and non-technical audiences in a multi-cultural context. **Minimum Qualifications:** • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience. OR Associate's degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience. OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience. *Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience. **Principal Duties & Responsibilities** + Support XR product marketing activities including marketing strategy development, platform messaging, product launches, industry events, and co-marketing with customers + Facilitate collaboration across engineering, demo team, marketing, business development, product management, and third-party developers, partners for planning and execution + Lead development of internal communications including quarterly reports, contribution to internal newsletters, post-event reports, etc. + Support In the development of creative assets including blogs, speakership presentations, videos, photography + Collaborate with the finance and procurement departments to track the XR product marketing budget + Engage with and drive potential customer/partner engagements + Serve as the public spokesperson, demo staff at trade shows and events (both domestic and international travel required) + Collaborate with PR, digital, events, legal, brand, and other internal teams to ensure an integrated approach to product marketing, cohesive with Qualcomm’s other lines of business **Level of Responsibility:** • Works independently with minimal supervision. • Provides supervision/guidance to other team members. • Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group. • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc. • Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards for functional area within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department. • Has a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that will have substantial impact over the organization). • Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
