Material Handler

Job Description Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics and materials management? Join our team as a Materials Technician and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You'll be responsible for receiving, shipping, storing, and distributing raw materials, intermediates, and marketed products, all while adhering to cGMP and company SOPs.

Responsibilities

Daily Operations: Receive and process items shipped to the warehouse, including GMP and Non-GMP items, following SOPs.Inventory Management: Monitor warehouse supplies and create purchase requisitions as needed to keep operations running smoothly.Material Distribution: Efficiently distribute materials to various departments to support their needs.Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain an orderly and clean warehouse environment.Temperature Logging: Log daily temperatures for the warehouse and freezer area, and replace weekly temperature charts.Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move palleted items in and out of the warehouse.Shipping: Ship materials using major carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, or US Mail.Data Entry: Perform accurate data entry into the materials management system.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and SOPs, including the use of personal protective clothing and equipment.Truck Operation: Safely operate a truck to deliver supplies and equipment.Plasma Delivery: Deliver plasma pools to manufacturing.Stocking: Ensure the manufacturing area is stocked with necessary materials.Discrepancy Resolution: Collaborate with Procurement to resolve receipt discrepancies.System Entry: Enter data into networked systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office.Inventory Counts: Conduct cycle count inventory as needed and generate cycle count inventory sheets.

Essential Skills

Warehouse Experience: Packing and warehouse experience is essential.Material Handling: Proficiency in material handling and inventory management.Order Picking: Skilled in order picking and using RF scanners.Freezer Work: Ability to work in a freezer environment.Shipping Expertise: Experience in shipping and receiving.System Knowledge: Familiarity with GMP, SOP, and ERP systems.Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED with education verification required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Three to five years of experience in Materials Management, Supply Chain, and Warehousing.Warehouse experience: Previous experience in shipping and receiving.Cold Environment: Comfortable working in a cold/freezer environment.

Work Environment

Warehouse Setting: Operate within a warehouse environment from Monday to Friday, between 5 pm and 1 am.Cold Environment: Work in a cold/freezer environment with appropriate PPE jackets provided.

Contract to Hire: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boca Raton, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
