Job DescriptionROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Material Planning Leader to oversee and optimize our material planning processes. This role requires advanced proficiency in Excel, hands-on experience with MRP systems, and a deep understanding of ERP platforms, particularly Oracle Fusion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to manage complex material flows to ensure seamless production operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advanced Excel & MRP Expertise:
Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, macros, complex formulas) to analyze and report on material planning data.
Manage and optimize MRP parameters to align with production needs and inventory targets.
ERP System Management (Oracle Fusion):
Oversee the integration and utilization of Oracle Fusion ERP for material planning and inventory management.
Ensure accurate data entry and system configurations to support efficient planning processes.
Safety Stock & BOM Management:
Define and maintain optimal safety stock levels to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
Lead projects for the transition of materials in Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accurate and timely updates.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and develop a high-performing material planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Delegate tasks effectively and provide coaching to enhance team capabilities.
SLA Monitoring & Supplier Escalation:
Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms.
Escalate issues to suppliers promptly and work collaboratively to resolve any performance discrepancies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align material planning with production schedules.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address material shortages and supply chain challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years in material planning or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience with advanced Excel functions and MRP systems.
Hands-on experience with ERP platforms, preferably Oracle Fusion.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
In-depth knowledge of safety stock strategies and BOM management.
