Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong and proven successful background in Supply Chain and Program Management to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) role supporting Portfolio T programs within the AFS suite of programs. Candidates must be able to succeed in high stress, fast paced development environment and possess excellent time management/prioritization skills. Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work well in a matrixed IPT environment are also important. Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal and supplier management.
The Material Program Manager will report directly to the Portfolio T Supply Chain Management Lead. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of supply chain strategies, material program and supplier management plans, supporting capture/proposal and design-to-cost initiatives throughout all phases of the product life cycle. You will be accountable to ensure suppliers are supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified. You will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and activities including ensuring an appropriate budget, adequate resources, managing schedule, and compliance to requirements.
What You Will Do
Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead as well as the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activitiesResponsible for supporting the development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives Early supplier involvement that is focused on strategic sourcing initiativesSupport Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win (PTW) targetsSupport the development and execution of material program plans (MPP)Establish Material Sales Forecasts for assigned programsSupport the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectivesBalance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programsPartner cross functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issuesExert influence to achieve overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team Frequently lead discussions and presentations to all levels of management and senior leadershipAbility to balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programsQualifications You Must Have
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experienceActive and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
