Materials Warehouse Supervisor – Farmington, CT

What You Will Do:
Provide supervisory support to material handlers responsible for putting away stock and feeding the production lines.Provide supervisory support to receiving department to ensure materials are accurately received and stored away in a timely manner.Responsible for performing timely and accurate material movement transactions in SAP to ensure inventory accuracy.Responsible for managing the plant cycle count program and for reporting cycle count statistics on a periodic basis.Responsible for accuracy of vendor consigned inventory. Keep production flows in/out warehouse running smoothly.Coordinate efforts with buyer/planners providing necessary vendor information on orders received and assisting with PO’s for parts. Handle parts received process and manage parts intake to the plant.Resolve quality issues with damaged goods, incorrect parts and maintain component integrity.Upkeep manufacturing and plant supplies, assisting with ordering to maintain well stocked department.Visibility to issues regarding components associated with special customer orders.Responsible for maintaining and improving the overall housekeeping and organization of the material warehouses. (5S, Visual Factory, etc.).Responsible for ensuring that material handlers follow safe work practices.What You Need to Succeed:
2-3 years of manufacturing operations experienceDetail oriented, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment1-2 years Supervisory experience- preferably with union employeesSAP and Microsoft Office KnowledgeWhy Work for Us?
