Job Title: Mechanical Drafter
Job Description
The Mechanical Designer role is suited for a highly self-motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The primary responsibility of the Drafter will be the creation of mechanical and electrical drawings, Bills of Material, and related technical documentation using 2D and 3D software to support the engineering group in the quoting, design, and fabrication process.
Responsibilities
+ Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
+ Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from Engineers.
+ Work with Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards, and design documentation.
+ Complete project responsibilities accurately and on time.
+ Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
+ Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
+ Develop 3D models by analyzing prototypes and 2D drawings.
+ Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications.
+ Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
+ Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
+ Prepare engineering documents for customer submittal.
Essential Skills
+ Solidworks, AutoCAD, or Autodesk Inventor experience.
+ Engineering degree (nice to have) but not a requirement for this role.
+ 2-4 years of working experience from manufacturing setting.
+ Bring examples of drawings for onsite interview.
+ Cultural/personality fit.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ One step onsite interview process.
+ You will work with a team of 2-3 other Mechanical Drafter/Designer while working within the department.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Virginia Beach,VA.
