In the role of Mechanical Engineer, we’ll count on you to:
Coordinate the work of the Mechanical design team with the balance of a multidisciplinary team throughout the entire project's developmentAssess and design a wide range of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects.Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceCoordinate workload to complete documents on schedule• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceConduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplinesCoordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule Review mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplinesWrite and edit mechanical specifications and select equipment, mechanical systems, and other devicesCoordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsProvide construction contract administration as neededConduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Mechanical Project Coordinators, or Mechanical BIM Technicians as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasisBachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasisRevit MEP experience preferredCommercial/institutional experience in healthcare is a plus Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not requiredPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing system design#LI-MV3
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Previous experience in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license Experience in commercial or institutional facilities Computer experience using MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, manufacturer selection software Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
