Job Description
The Medical Assistant provides safe and efficient patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed provider and nurse, performing various administrative duties. This role involves performing routine tasks necessary for patient care in a clinic setting within a hospital health network. The position is primarily back-office focused, involving charting patients for a general practice clinic.
ResponsibilitiesTake patient vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate, age, weight, and temperature.Room patients and prepare their files for the doctor.Prepare and stock rooms after patient visits.Work closely with one healthcare provider and assist in daily activities.Essential SkillsProficient in taking and recording patient vitals.Strong customer service skills.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).Additional Skills & QualificationsMedical Assistant Certification (MA Cert).Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) is a plus but not required.Work Environment
The position is based in a very fast-paced clinic environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including surgical masks, scrubs, and gloves will be provided.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr.
