This position offers day shift hours Monday through Friday, with some variability between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, and no weekends or holidays required. Working approximately 10 hours per week, you’ll travel to support multiple clinic locations including Kane, Johnsonburg, Sheffield, Mt. Jewett, and Bradford—offering variety and the chance to build strong, meaningful connections with both patients and care teams. In this vital support role, you’ll assist with both clinical and administrative responsibilities, including rooming patients, collecting vitals and health histories, assisting with procedures, and handling front office tasks like scheduling, verifying insurance, and managing records. If you have prior healthcare experience such as CNA or PCT work, or relevant college-level education in a health-related field, you’re strongly encouraged to apply. Apply today and bring your passion for patient care to a role that fits your life—right here at UPMC Kane. _Title and starting pay rate of this position may vary based on years of experience and manager discretion._ **Responsibilities:** + Check schedules and organize patient flow. + Accompany patients to exam/procedure room. + Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc. + Collect patient information/history; take vitals and perform screenings per provider guidelines. + Relay instructions to patients/families. + Send/receive patient medical records in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and federal regulations. + Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol. + Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control. + Clean according to scheduled maintenance program and keep appropriate records. + Manage inventory of supplies; restock exam/procedure rooms. + Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health). + Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data. + Comply with all UPMC Health System policies and procedures. + Perform phlebotomy, EKG's, and level one labs. + Perform clinic procedures according to policy and procedure. + Assist physicians with procedures. + Document patient information into the medical record. + Answer calls and provide pertinent information including patient education as directed. + Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc. + Complete forms/requisitions as needed. + Schedule appointments. + Verify insurance coverage and patient demographics. + Prepare and manage charts to ensure information completed and filed appropriately. + Perform other front office responsibilities as required. + Under the direction and supervision of a physician, administer injectable medication and vaccines when appropriate. Required: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities. Preferred: + Prior medical experience such as CNA or PCT experience. + Applicable healthcare related education. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal + Act 33 with renewal + Act 34 with renewal + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
