Medical Assistant/Medical Office Specialist
**Job Description​** **The Medical Assistant/Medical Office Specialist ensures smooth operations within the clinic with the goal of providing a positive patient experience with every customer encounter.** + These positions are at specific clinics, however, all staff are expected to float to any clinic when needed. + Convenient care Medical Assistants do both check-in and rooming. + This schedule will be 12 hour shifts with every other weekend and rotating holidays. Clinics are open Monday - Friday from 7am - 7pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8am - 5pm. + The ideal candidate will have experience working as an MA or be a nursing student who has completed the fundamentals of nursing. Responsible for the overall patient flow through the clinic providing excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. Assists providers in delivery of professional medical care including but not limited to, calling results, putting in orders, giving injections, patient registration rooming patients vitals documentation in the EMR per clinic protocol processing refill requests collection of fees as appropriate and phlebotomy. + Patient Registration (Convenient Care) + Collecting of Fees as Appropriate (Convenient Care) + Verifying Insurance (Convenient Care) + Running Epic for High Deductible Insurance (Convenient Care) + Scheduling Patient Appointments + Rooming Patients + Checking and Entering Patients Vitals + Verifying Patients' Medical and Surgical History + Verifying Patients Medication List + Documentation in the EMR per clinic protocol + Performing Point of Care Testing such as Flu, Covid, Strep, Urine Analysis, Glucose, INR, Lipid Panel, and HCG. + Documenting POCT Test Results in the POCT Book + Performing Monthly Quality Control Tests + Performing Opening and Closing Duties + Assisting NPs with Ordering Supplies + Ensuring all supplies are up to date and not expired + Checking Clinic Voicemail and Fax + Calling patient results after NP review + Entering Orders into Epic + Administer Injections **Benefits:** + Health, Vision and Dental + Leave of Absence, PTO, Extended Sick Leave, and various Welfare plans + Flex Savings Accounts + Health Savings Accounts + Various other Voluntary Benefits Available + Retirement Options + Career Growth Potential + Tuition and Continuing Education Assistance Saint Luke’s Medical Group bring together the best of Saint Luke’s convenience, accessibility, and the highest-quality of care by housing many specialty practices and medical services together in one location to serve the community.
