Responsibilities Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with colleagues up, down, and across the organizationAssists in professional development of all Certified Medical Assistant staff; designs and executes training programs as neededSupervises assigned CMA’s in conjunction with the organization’s managerial and leadership practicesProvides clinical oversight of the services provided by the Certified Medical Assistants across the organization through direct observation and formal competency assessment, in conjunction with the Nurse ManagerMonitors task boxes, inboxes, scanning needs, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks, in conjunction with Senior Certified Medical Assistants; deploys support and resources where needed to stay current with these tasksAssists with oversight of the environment of care, ensuring adherence to CHC infection control and safety policies and procedures; monitors employee performance in the sameAdheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearanceOmission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position Qualifications High School diploma or GEDMedical Assistant Certificate from an approved school with current national certification from an approved certifying body2+ years of medical assistant experience preferred 1+ Supervisory experience requiredExperience in EKG and phlebotomyBLS certificationExcellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skillsValid New Jersey driver’s licenseBilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian Creole) preferredWorking Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, wheelchair.
