About the Role:
Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to serve as the Medical Director for our Killeen Family Medicine Clinic, a key leadership position within our integrated healthcare system. This clinic serves as a flagship location for primary care services in the region, offering an excellent platform for innovation, collaboration, and high-quality patient care.
This role offers a balanced mix of clinical care (80%) and administrative oversight (20%), supporting excellence in patient care delivery and team leadership.
\nThe Medical Director will provide medical oversight for a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, including:
\n\n11 Physicians (MDs)\n12 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)\nEmbedded Mental Health Department\nKilleen 65+ Geriatric Clinic Providers\n\nYou will work collaboratively with the Nurse Manager and Operational Administrator to support and guide a team of over 49 staff members, ensuring coordinated, high-quality care across all services.
\nPosition Highlights:
\n\nClinical: Deliver primary care to patients within the clinic, maintaining a focus on quality, compassion, and safety.\nAdministrative: Lead provider team meetings, contribute to process improvements, drive quality initiatives, support provider onboarding, and ensure integration with mental health and geriatric care teams.\nFoster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and physician engagement in a physician-led organization.\nServe as liaison between clinic providers and system leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.\nInnovation & Technology: Utilize AI-driven tools including DAX, ART, and POCUS to improve clinical workflows and patient outcomes.\n\nAbout the Baylor Scott & White Health System:

Qualifications:
\n\nDoctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO)\nLicensed to practice in Texas by the Texas Medical Board\nBoard Certified (or actively pursuing certification) in Family Medicine\nProven clinical and leadership experience preferred\nCommitment to team-based, patient-centered care\nStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills\n\n
