Medical Payment Poster Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Medical Payment Poster Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Glen Rock, New Jersey. In this role, you will play a key part in managing high-volume payment posting tasks within a medical billing environment. This position offers hands-on training and the potential for hybrid work after the initial onboarding period. Responsibilities: • Accurately post payments and adjustments within a high-volume medical billing system. • Ensure all posted payments are properly reconciled and documented. • Identify and address discrepancies in payment postings, working closely with internal teams to resolve issues. • Utilize specialized software tools such as Accurint, Allscripts, and Crystal Reports to streamline payment posting processes. • Conduct data analysis and reporting to support billing operations and payment accuracy. • Manage appeals and collection processes to recover outstanding payments. • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure compliance with claim administration procedures. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefit functions and billing regulations. • Support the transition to hybrid work by completing on-site training and adapting to remote systems. • Consistently meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks. Requirements • Proven experience in medical payment posting, ideally within a high-volume setting. • Familiarity with physical therapy billing processes is a plus, but not required. • Proficiency in software tools such as Accurint, Allscripts, and Crystal Reports. • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and resolve payment discrepancies. • Knowledge of appeals, claim administration, and collection procedures. • Ability to consistently maintain scheduled hours throughout the contract period. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and address payment-related inquiries.
