We want you to apply! **Job Summary and Qualifications** POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees development, marketing, planning and execution of all Continuing Education (CE) activities and administrative support of the CE Committee at Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center. Provide administrative support of the medical staff departments and committees under the supervision of the Admin Director and Director of the Medical Staff department. POPULATION SERVED: Medical Staff and Leadership of Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Responsible for the implementation and administration of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) accreditation process by staying up to date with the TMA guidelines and essentials. + Establishes processes and policies to ensure continued compliance with TMA in Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center. + Responsible for the preparation of documentation required for on-site or virtual survey visit to include completion of TMA self-study module, for the re-accreditation cycle of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare. + Responsible for all aspects of maintaining of TMA reaccreditation standards. + Responsible for the preparation of the TMA annual report and other special reports as required to maintain up-to-date accreditation of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare. + Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance with TMA essentials. + Responsible and ensures that all CE activities are planned in compliance with Continuing Education Mission, policies and TMA essentials, i.e. needs assessment with identified professional gaps, reflects desirable physician attributes, outcomes, and back-up documentation as deemed necessary. + Responsible for the coordination of planned CE conferences / symposiums in alignment with the TMA standards. + Manages acquisition of content for program flier or brochures to include objectives, faculty, schedule, hotel information, CE required elements, and registration information. + Prepares faculty correspondence, CE forms, organize the logistics of the speaker’s hotel, and travel for all activities and symposium. + Maintenance of CE data in Cactus. + Pursues opportunities to develop new and expand current educational activities/programs and services in Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center. + Responsible for the implementation and compliance of CE related HCA Ethics and compliance policies. + Responsiblefor the management of all aspects of department and committee meetings and minute taking. + Ability to demonstrate professional behavior and communication both verbally and in writing. + Organizes meeting agendas for all assigned Medical Staff meetings, notify all presenters of agenda items, scheduling of location when necessary at the facility or outside venue, ensures that combined virtual meetings are set-up appropriately, taking minutes and prepares correspondence after the meeting when necessary. + Minutes must be completed within seven (7) working days after the meeting. + Prepares monthly Emergency Call rosters, copies, distributes and updates as needed. Handles discrepancies and communicates issues and changes to the Admin. Director and Director. + Ability to coordinate multiple activities at the same time. + Flexible work schedule to accommodate attendance at meetings during the week and weekends if necessary. The position requires adaptability and flexibility to altering demands and work hours. + Coordinates all CE marketing efforts and prepares fliers, save the date cards and syllabus for printing to include appropriate CE elements. + Responsible and maintenance of the Medical Staff/AH Orientation Manual. + Building and maintaining relationships with members of medical/executive leadership of Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center. + Excellent interpersonal communication and public relations skills, including the ability to incorporate diplomacy, tact, patience and professionalism into day-to-day activities. + Travel in support of the CE activities, symposium and other activities as needed. + Attends and participates as a member of the CE committee. + Assures confidentiality of medical staff activities as they relate to the functions and responsibilities of the CE program. + Maintains PARS data in the ACCME site yearly. + Adheres to hospital and department safety policies and procedures. + Demonstrates Service Excellence principles and behaviors consistent with Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center vision and values. + Performs other duties as assigned. REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS + None REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE + Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree in related field, a degreed professional or demonstrated equivalent competency. + Preferred experience include minimum qualifications are4 years of medical education experience with a minimum of one-year experience in hospital/medical staff background preferred. PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism and competence in dealing with a variety of individuals including physicians, administrators and company or industry representatives. + Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in educational, financial, and management processes. + Knowledgeable and demonstrated experience with TMA accreditation processes. + Effective problem solving skills including the ability to analyze and evaluate data and make appropriate decisions and recommendations. + Critical thinker who enjoys interacting with others and can find solutions on her/his own, but also able to work with a team. + Ability to develop, organize, and accomplish goals. + Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. + Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. + Experience in conference and meeting planning. + Experience and/or knowledge of adult education. + Knowledgeable and demonstrated experience with relevant computer software. **Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare (https://laspalmasdelsolhealthcare.com/)** is the leading healthcare provider for El Paso and the surrounding region.
