Maintains a center of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). Develops and implements educational programs in pastoral care to meet the needs of pastoral care staff, CPE residents, candidates in religious formation programs, medical school students and personnel, and the community. Supervises CPE Educator(s), residents, and students. Provides leadership in the development of the chaplaincy profession.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and provides leadership in educational programs aligned with the organization’s mission.Maintains and ensures full compliance of the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) program with Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) accreditation standards.Participates in strategic planning and need assessments for the education direction of the CPE program at the system, regional, and local levels.Collaborates with administrators in finance, government reimbursement, contracts division, etc. for the CPE program’s needs and requirements.Educates CPE interns and residents and ensures the residents’ delivery of spiritual care services.Works with other CPE certified educators and clinical faculty in the planning and administration of the overall CPE training program. Acts as a resource and educator for the chaplains and other departments as needed.Recruits, engages, develops, leads, and manages assigned staff. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.
