Job Description
As an MRI Technologist, you will perform magnetic resonance imaging by operating equipment using magnetic fields according to established procedures. You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of MRI technology, maintain an efficient and organized work area, and follow all safety and confidentiality guidelines. You will be expected to uphold a high professional standard of conduct and patient care.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and position patients for MRI scans, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during MRI procedures.Review and interpret physician orders, ensuring accurate and appropriate imaging.Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures.Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze MRI results.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent exposure to radiation and other hazards.Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on MRI equipment.Stay updated with advancements in MRI technology and techniques.Essential Skills1 year of experience in MRI technology.Must have ARRT certification.Hospital experience preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsOne or more years of MRI specific experience or completed training required for MRI II.Registered in radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology with documented Continuing Education to maintain registration/certification.Possess advanced MRI Registry certification.Work Environment
The position involves working three 12-hour shifts with an every third weekend rotation. The hours vary from weekdays to weekends.
