MSP Governance Consultant

**Job Summary**
The MSP Governance Consultant is responsible for enabling and optimizing the governance, integration, and performance of multiple Managed Services Providers (MSPs) supporting the Information Services (IS) operations for BSWH. This role ensures MSPs adhere to strategic governance structures and best practices, particularly those defined by the Service Integration and Management (SIAM) and ITIL v4 frameworks.
The Consultant serves as a central liaison between internal (BSWH) Service Tower leads (Applications, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity) and external MSPs to drive alignment, ensure service performance, and maintain consistency across all service delivery and integration activities. This role is critical to ensuring MSP contributions meet agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and contractual obligations while supporting high-quality, patient-centered care.
**Essential Functions of the Role**
**· Governance & Integration**
o Lead the management and continuous improvement of governance structures across all MSP engagements
o Ensure adherence to ITIL v4 best practices in all aspects of service delivery
o Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of end-to-end service models within each MSP environment, ensuring alignment with business and operational objectives
o Support and enforce compliance with service integration policies, escalation paths, and decision rights frameworks
**· Operational Relationship Management**
o Serve as an operational liaison between internal Tower/Sub-Tower Leaders and MSP counterparts to ensure consistent and effective communication and coordination
o Facilitate regular operational reviews and service performance discussions with MSPs and internal stakeholders
**· Strategic Vendor Management**
o Manage and cultivate strategic relationships with MSPs and internal stakeholder groups to ensure mutual understanding of goals and priorities
o Drive accountability through structured governance processes
**· Knowledge & Continual Improvement**
o Champion the use of knowledge management practices among MSPs and internal teams
o Support training, education, and awareness initiatives around MSP governance and integration practices

**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ EDUCATION - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, and/or equivalent
+ EXPERIENCE - 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management, Vendor Management, Program Management, and/or a similar role with oversight of large stakeholder groups (e.g. MSPs).
+ Strong understanding of SIAM principles and ITIL v4 framework (certification in ITIL v4 and/or SIAM Foundation preferred).
+ Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and governance in a complex, multi-supplier IT environment.
