MTCLC Portfolio Titling Associate I
Overview:

Responsible for ensuring and safeguarding MTCLC’s (M&T Capital Leasing Corporation) security interest in financed and pledged collateral by providing safe storage, tracking, reporting, and releasing of the portfolio of motor vehicle electronic and paper titles, assisting with processing paid-in-full accounts, assisting with other motor vehicle titling needs, and completing documentation audits on closed and funded titled transactions.             

Primary Responsibilities:Review and process paper and electronic motor vehicle titles to ensure appropriate liens have been recorded by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Process customer and internal requests for assistance and/or direction with re-titling, releases, transfers, repossession titles, sale, and transfer of motor vehicles, etc.Assist with processing paid-in-full files and their off-site storage. Confirm required approval is obtained or evidenced prior to release. Issue paid-in-full letters to customers and coordinate electronic or paper release of motor vehicle titles. Ensure accuracy of titles to be released and release approval for electronic lien titles and/or signatures on paper titles.Assist in safeguarding all original documents, including titles, and coordinate transfers and records of such documents. Maintain and manage the safe storage of original documents and maintain originals log.Complete audits of documentation files of closed and funded titled transactions to ensure executed documents comply with credit approval, loan closing conditions, documentation policies and procedures. Identify and record all documentation deficiencies determined by audit and communicate findings to Contract Administrator and/or Documentation Reviewer.Participate in special projects as requested by management.Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.  Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Minimum of an Associate’s , or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 2 years’ higher education and/or work experience

Proven verbal and written communication skills

Proven analytical skills

Proven math skills

Proven organizational skills

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software

Detail-oriented

           

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum of 1 years’ relevant work experience

Ability to convey moderately complex information in a clear and concise manner

Ability to evaluate equipment sales contracts, related documents, and data

Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions

Knowledge of leasing-specific software

Physical Requirements:

Some walking, lifting, carrying, stooping, bending required, though accommodations may be made

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $34.29 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
