We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National leader to join our dynamic team. Aon’s Professional Services Group (PSG) provides risk solutions to clients in these industry groups within Canada. The Professional Services Practice at Aon is a distributed team of dedicated practitioners who address the unique insurance, risk and human capital needs of professional service firms.

What the day will look like
+ Supervise the ongoing management of the National Professional Services team to support the delivery of client service excellence
+ Ensuring delivery on PSG business plan objectives designed to enhance our value proposition and deliver on our key growth strategies
+ Develop and implement optimum product and placement strategies defined by strata and appropriate segment to address specific client needs. Complete these “go to market” strategies.
+ Data management. Develop / implement a plan around PSG data to support client decisions and “go to market” strategies.
+ Effective market management through a systematic process, cultivate keys relationships at various levels of insurers and develop new insurer capacity
+ Manuscript and tailored wording strategies, working in conjunction with the Legal and Research practice. Support our client value proposition and reduce E&Os. Training of team members on technical topics.
+ Develop global network to assist with added client value
+ Creating and communicating PSG’s product and service expertise through presentations, panel discussions and educational events, both internally and externally
+ Building internal and external relationships through demonstrated competency, understanding of the clients’ business, and a visible, consultative style
+ On key and critical accounts identified, working in collaboration with Senior Leadership to:
+ Build and maintain ongoing strategic C level customer relationship
+ Provide consultative service to the key decision makers, which are typically the CFO, Chief Counsel or Board members (e.g. head of Audit Committee)
+ Lead sophisticated sales situations and acquire clients based on “value based selling”
+ Leading the operational and fiscal activities of the department which include talent management, budgets and attainment of financial goals
+ Analyzing business processes and problems and accordingly, develop solutions to enhance efficiencies
+ Coordinating and implementing solutions for process analysis and general department projects
+ Communicating with other functional departments units to ensure proper service and quality levels are maintained.
Talent Management:
+ Building the experience, knowledge and capabilities of the broking resources into collaborative, high performing team
+ Working collaboratively with Senior Leadership and HR Managers to cultivate a positive employee environment that is receptive to change
+ In conjunction with Human Resources, settling and deploying effective succession planning, performance management, learning and development solutions, including structured mentorship programs

Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ Minimum ten (10) years of commercial insurance and/or marketing/broking experience required;
+ Construction expertise
+ Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum
+ supervision;
+ Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure of competing deadlines;
+ Client relationship focused;
+ Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, verbally and written;
+ Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
+ Proven experience within a broad range of industries an asset;
+ Fundamental knowledge of the all industry segments would be preferred
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
+ General Insurance Level One (1) License is required, however Level Two (2) License is preferred;
+ Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) 3 preferred or willingness to obtain;
+ Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses/certifications/designations (I.e. General Insurance License / Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) or Certified Risk Management (CRM)
